We are thrilled to start 2023 with the news that we have received Australia Council funding to support a second edition of The Relationship is the Project to feature 30+ curated chapters from thought-leaders across the arts, cultural and community sectors.
Co-edited by Jade Lillie, Kate Larsen, Cara Kirkwood and Jax Jacki Brown, the essays in this non-academic, practitioner-led volume will include insights into the ethics and logistics of working across all community contexts.
Writers of the existing 20 chapters will revisit and update their essays to reflect our sector’s changing practice and preoccupations, particularly in relation to post-pandemic questions and challenges.
These will be augmented with 10+ new essays about climate justice, disaster recovery, digital engagement and practice, gender in place, regional and intergenerational practice, status and agency, the power of labels and timing, and culturally safe evaluation.
Watch this space for more information coming soon.
And don’t forget you can read the first edition for free online in the meantime.
